Next stop for the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) Warehouse Roadshow 2023 will be Northern Ireland.
Following a successful regional event in Newport, Wales earlier this year, businesses in the warehousing and logistics sector in Ulster are being invited to The Stormont Hotel in Belfast on Wednesday 27 September.
Attendees will join the UKWA team, members of AIWA (All Ireland Warehousing Association), and an impressive line-up of expert speakers for lunch, followed by a valuable afternoon of presentations and panel discussions on topical issues for the sector in Northern Ireland.
The afternoon will start off with a spotlight on the important relationship between transport and warehousing activities, followed by an informative panel discussion about Effective, Efficient & Safe Materials Handling, with insights and advice on financing a MHE fleet.
Later, guests will hear views on the local labour market and skills agenda, and there will be a trade-association discussion group, with representatives from government exploring the impact of the Windsor Framework on cold-chains, freight transport and – of course – warehousing, in the province and beyond.
Leading up to the event, UKWA CEO Clare Bottle stated: “UKWA is keen to reach out to all regions of the UK with our Warehouse Roadshow and we are looking forward to meeting with colleagues in Northern Ireland to discuss the specific challenges and opportunities for businesses operating in province. This provides a forum for us to outline the support available from UKWA, share ideas and, for attending businesses, to network with peers, make new contacts and find out more about the market in Northern Ireland. We look forward to seeing AIWA and UKWA members, as well as meeting new colleagues.”
Jarlath Sweeney of AIWA added: “It was a pleasure to host UKWA last year and we are delighted to welcome the team back to Belfast. No doubt it will be another successful event packed with valuable information. Places are limited, so I would urge members and non-members to register as soon as possible.”
This highly informative event is free to attend. Tickets can be secured now on Eventbrite.
