Registration is now open on ukwa.org.uk for a series of upcoming UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association) events – each one being an important entry for the logistics diary.
The UKWA Multimodal Challenge takes place on the UKWA Pavilion, of Multimodal 2015, which is being held in Hall 8 NEC, Birmingham on 28-30 April. Anybody from the logistics sector can take on competitors, customers, and colleagues in a specially adapted ‘speed’ version of the Business on the Move board game. The winner will be presented with a trophy by Lord Digby Jones at UKWA’s Annual Awards Luncheon 2015, which is being held on 1 July 2015 at the Dorchester Hotel, London. To take part in one of a series of 15-minute head to head battles over the three days of the event, register at www.ukwa.org.uk. Closing date for entries is: 17 April 2015.
WIth former director general of the CBI and trade minister, Lord Digby Jones as guest speaker at the 16th annual Awards for Warehousing presentation ceremony, those wishing to attend this always-popular event are advised to book early. For those wishing to enter the awards, the deadline for submissions is now 1 May 2015. Entry forms can be downloaded from: www.ukwa.org.uk where there are further details on all of the categories as well as table booking information for the Luncheon.
Registration is also open at www.ukwa.org.uk for the IFWLA (International Federation of Warehousing Logistics Association) Convention 2015, which takes place in Liverpool on 1 – 4 June 2015. A four-day programme of business and culture is planned for some 250 national and international delegates, comprising manufacturers, retailers, third party logistics (3PL) providers and other supply chain and logistics practitioners. Bringing together all sides of the global logistics industry, the international convention is under-pinned by a two-day conference on 2-3 June, at Liverpool’s historic Town Hall.
