UKWA – the United Kingdom Warehousing Association of which the All-Ireland Warehousing Association is affiliated to – has announced two significant appointments within its management board.
Tony Mohan has taken on the role of the Association’s Vice Chairman.
Tony joined Bibby Distribution in 1988, having worked for 15 years with the then NFC (now DHL) in a range of operational roles. During his time with Bibby he has held various positions in operations and sales, from Site Manager through to his current position of Regional Sales Manager, in which he takes responsibility for the sales function of all of Bibby Distribution’s services.
Tony Mohan commented: “I am delighted to be playing a part in UKWA’s development and am looking forward to contributing to the Association’s ongoing success as it faces up to the challenges of the modern logistics industry.”
Meanwhile Peter Masters, managing director of Miniclipper Logistics, has been elected to the UKWA board to represent those UKWA members who operate storage facilities of 200,000 sq ft or less.
Peter has worked for the family-owned Miniclipper since 1985 and has held a number of senior posts within the business including sales director and operations director. The company was started by Peter’s father, Michael Masters, in 1971.
Peter Masters commented: “Miniclipper has been a UKWA member for over 30 years, so I’m very pleased to be able to offer my services to the Association. Storage and warehousing is a rapidly growing part of Miniclipper’s business and our membership of UKWA has been very valuable to us down the years.”
Roger Williams, UKWA’s chief executive officer, said of the appointments: “Both Tony and Peter bring a wealth of third party logistics industry experience to their respective UKWA roles which will prove highly beneficial to the Association and our members.”
Founded in 1944, UKWA has over 600 members providing storage and third party logistics services, and represents the industry to both commerce and government.
