Logistics Service Provider S.A. TALKE has enhanced efficiency and productivity at its site in Jubail, Saudi Arabia and achieved a lower cost of operation, thanks to Hyster materials handling equipment.
S.A. TALKE group provides supply chain solutions including transport, packaging and storage, complemented by a wide range of added value services focused on the logistics of chemical products. The company requires dependable materials handling equipment to support the operation.
A fleet of over 32 Hyster machines, which includes counterbalance forklift trucks and ReachStackers, is used across the S.A. TALKE site for loading, picking, palletising, storing and transferring goods, and stacking containers.
The tough and reliable Hyster equipment offers fast handling capabilities, helping to deliver a lower cost of operation to S.A. TALKE.
Hyster H2.5FT Fortens LPG Forklift trucks are used for container stuffing, while the same models fitted with Push-Pull attachments are required for palletising, loading and transferring goods. The Hyster Fortens trucks help to deliver a lower cost of operation through reduced tyre wear thanks, in part, to the electronically controlled DuraMatch transmission and the low maintenance oil immersed brakes. Ergonomic features on the Fortens trucks include a comfortable adjustable seat and armrest which help to enhance driver productivity.
The heavy-duty Hyster RS45-31CH ReachStackers support the container handling aspect of the operation. Maximised operator performance is achieved with the Hyster ReachStacker, which offers class leading lift speeds and excellent visibility from the sliding “vista “cab.
S.A. TALKE’s demanding 24/7 operation requires the support of reliable materials handling equipment and Hyster works closely with its local distribution partner in the Middle East to help S.A. TALKE effectively manage the equipment and improve overall efficiency.
The Hyster equipment has been supplied on a full service contract, including standby replacements and on-site maintenance engineers to ensure the 95% availability target is achieved. Driver training has also been provided to S.A. TALKE’s 1000 plus drivers.
The dependable and robust Hyster equipment, excellent level of service and dedicated local support, has resulted in a solid relationship between S.A. TALKE, Hyster and the local Hyster distribution partner.
S.A. TALKE is a Logistics Service Provider for the chemical and petrochemical industries and is operationally active in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. S.A. TALKE is part of the German TALKE group. The engineering, construction and ownership of logistic facilities is an essential element of the core business, and supports the group’s position for outsourcing in the Gulf region, be it integrated within the production facilities or at an off-site location.
