May 10, 2014 Warehousing Ireland News Comments Off on Multimodal 2014 breaks records
Multimodal 2014 was the biggest in the show’s seven-year history, with over 290 exhibitors welcoming over 7100 visitors in Birmingham last week.
Supply chain executives took part in over 25 workshop and masterclass sessions hosted by over 60 expert speakers, and the show boasted both a visit from HRH The Princess Royal, and a guest appearance by football legend Kevin Keegan.
“Multimodal 2014 was a resounding success and we are very pleased to have had plenty of exhibitors re-booking for 2015, as well as new interest,” said Robert Jervis, Multimodal Director.
“This was a year of firsts for us, with the launch of our awards, the new airfreight pavilion and dedicated air cargo seminars, and additional hosted meetings.
“We are looking forward to building on that success in 2015.”
The Multimodal 2014 Awards saw Frank Robotham, ABP Group Head of Marketing, named Personality of the Year, and DSV rewarded for Outstanding Contribution to Multimodal at the show’s VIP dinner on Tuesday 29th April.
TESCO was given the Multimodal/Freight Transport Association (FTA) award for Outstanding Contribution to Sustainability and Environmental Performance.
Multimodal 2015 will take place from the 28th to the 30th April 2015 at the Birmingham NEC.
