Dec 09, 2019 Warehousing Ireland News Comments Off on Matt Quinn appointed CHEP VP in Northern Europe
CHEP, the supply chain specialist in the FMCG and retail marketplace, has appointed Matt Quinn as its Vice-President for Northern Europe.
In his new role, Matt will lead the Country Leadership Team for the UK and Ireland (UK&I) in providing customers more ways to optimise every stage of their supply chains. He will be accountable for delivering the strategy that makes CHEP UK&I the easiest choice for its customers.
Matt said: “This is an exciting time for the supply chain sector as retailers, manufacturers and logistics specialists collaborate to tackle challenges related to climate change, sustainability and how to make the circular economy part of global commercial culture. I relish the challenge of making CHEP the easiest choice for our customers. We achieve this through adding unrivalled value as the invisible backbone of the global supply chain. CHEP helps move more goods to more people, in more places, than any other company on earth so we’re in a unique position where we can lead the conversation about how to modernise the supply chain.”
Matt joined CHEP in 2003 as Business Manager, Automotive and has held a variety of Customer Solutions and Business Development positions in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2016 he became Country General Manager of CHEP India.
“The UK is an indicator market and was at the forefront of the industrial revolution. I believe we can now lead a supply chain revolution across the world. What enthuses me is the prospect of using our data, knowledge and assets to continue to modernise and transform the supply chain enabling our customers to be increasingly efficient, agile and sustainable.” Matt said.
Michael Pooley, President of CHEP in Europe added: “CHEP are well positioned to be the easiest choice for our customers, by enabling their supply chains to ‘just work’ and by unlocking unrivalled and unprecedented value through our vast network of partners and ongoing commitment to sustainability. I have every confidence Matt will continue to lead the way in Northern Europe.”
Matt replaces Helen Lane who became CHEP’s Senior Vice-President, Global Digital and Network Transformation in July 2019.
