Manitou Group is THE Material Handling Reference with over 40 years of experience in providing solutions
to a diverse range of work applications including construction, farming and industry. The Manitou brand
name is synonymous with rough terrain machinery but the advent of new product developments has seen
the establishment of an specialist Industrial division to market the range of forklifts including
counterbalanced, truck-mounted and semi-industrial, plus aerial work platforms and warehousing
equipment. Therefore, whatever the customer requirement Manitou can meet the demand with market
specific products incorporating innovative concepts and the latest design technology for maximum
productivity.
A dedicated national Manitou Industry dealer network is in place to provide the professional sales, parts
and technical service support that is so vital to enhance the efficiency of Manitou Industry machinery.
Total cost of ownership is important in these cash conscious times, so the Manitou Industry dealer can
provide tailored maintenance packages to best suit the customer. Manitou Finance offer bespoke finance
solutions to facilitate budget management.
The Manitou MI range of i.c. industrial forklifts is the perfect example of Manitou’s commitment to the
industrial sector. The design template was to provide simplicity of use, comfort, reliability and efficiency
all at the most cost effective price. Consisting of 12 models with diesel and LP Gas and with load
capacities from 1500kg to 3500kg, Manitou has the flexibility to supply the ‘right truck for the right job’.
The new MI forklift is equipped with Powershuttle transmission for optimal performance with standard
inching facility for smooth handling operation and productive work cycles.
The Manitou warehousing equipment incorporates tow tractors, order pickers, manual and electrical pallet
trucks and semi-electrical and electrical stackers.
The classic rough terrain forklifts from Manitou are robust and durable machines designed for working in
arduous applications. The M/MC series are available in 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive versions and with
load capacities from 2000kg to 5000kg.
Semi-rough terrain models are highly adaptable forklifts for working in diverse job sites such as timber
yards, garden centres and nurseries to name but a few! The 2 wheel drive MSI models are 2000kg to
5000kg load capacities. The 4 wheel drive MH series (2000kg – 2500kg). At the top end of the product
offer is the MI series with impressive load capacities of 6000kg and 7000kg.
Manitou truck-mounted telescopic (TMT) forklifts are providing flexible handling solutions to the haulage
and logistics industry. The telescopic boom concept enables the operator of the TMT to unload from oneside and reach across the trailer bed. Four TMT models are available with maximum load capacity of 2700kg.
The TMT has the capability to conquer the most difficult terrain with traction grip tyres, 3 drive
wheels and differential lock. The benefit to the customer is reduced turn round times, total control of the
loading/unloading process and the ability to deliver the goods exactly to where they are required.
Mounting and dismounting the TMT from the back of a trailer is achieved within one minute.
Finally, Manitou aerial work platforms are quickly gaining an unenviable reputation for reliability and
performance. The industrial range of platforms is well suited to perform essential maintenance and
inspection duties where outreach and manoeuvrability are a critical part of the daily operation. A popular
Manitou aerial platform is the VJR series comprising of the 80VJR (8 metre work height) and 100VJR (10
metre work height).
