A Jungheinrich counterbalanced truck painted not in the company’s traditional and well-known yellow but in an eye-catching vivid pink will be on hand at a number of ‘Race for Life’ charity events that are taking place across the country this summer.
‘Race for Life’ is a series of sports-themed events that aim to create awareness of and generate funds for research in to all 200 types of cancer.
In addition to providing the truck, Jungheinrich has pledged to pay the entry fee for any members of its staff or their partners who wish to complete the 5k fundraising courses.
Jungheinrich UK Ltd, Sales Director, Mike Hasson, said: “The Jungheinrich New Generation Torque Converter truck is being launched in May and as a company we wanted to link the launch of this new counterbalance truck with a famous event or charity. After some careful consideration we decided on ‘Race for Life’.
The ‘Race for Life’ event locations where the pink truck will be seen are: Campbell Park, Milton Keynes on Sunday 8th June and Haydock Park, Warrington on Sunday 13th July.
Jungheinrich have a team of around 90 employees and family members competing in various ‘Race for Life’ events and have created a ‘Just Giving’ page within the company’s website for anyone wishing to support this worthwhile cause.
