Jungheinrich will be highlighting the extensive customer benefits that its broad range of materials handling products and intralogistics solutions offer temperature controlled store operators at this year’s TCS&D show (18 & 19 September, Peterborough Arena).
Under the banner, ‘BestInvest’, the company will demonstrate how its lift trucks, racking and storage solutions, automated systems, warehouse planning and tailor-made finance options can reduce a company’s long-term materials handling fleet operating costs by up to 20 per cent.
Among the products on display will be cold store versions of Jungheinrich’s ETM-V2 reach truck series – which was recently named Warehouse Truck of the Year in the prestigious IFOY awards.
The model on show at TCS&D will be fitted with Jungheinrich’s latest cold store cab technology.
As you would expect from Jungheinrich, the innovative interior and exterior design of the company’s range of cold store cabs has been ergonomically optimised to provide excellent comfort for the operator. All electric components are integrated to allow the trucks to be operated easily and safely. The cab door opens wide and a low entry height facilitates effortless and safe entry and exit. Cloth lining and insulation mats in the cab interior assure additional heat and noise insulation.
Examples from Jugnheinrich’s range of counterbalance and powered pallet trucks – including the lithium-ion powered EJE pallet truck – will also be shown.
In addition, Jungheinrich will also demonstrate its Under Pallet Carrier (UPC) technology.
‘Multi depth’ storage systems, such as the Jungheinrich UPC, offer a cost effective way of achieving high density storage while allowing goods to be handled in a controlled manner.
The UPC system provides both space and throughput efficiencies and is a cost-effective alternative to traditional drive-in racking and pallet live storage systems.
In simple terms, the UPC features a ‘shuttle’ that travels along channels within the racking which is fitted with guide rails. The system can operate in both LIFO and FIFO modes and also accommodates functionality that allows entire rack channels to be emptied with the simple push of a button.
Jungheinrich will also be focusing on the benefits of its extensive range of ‘second life’ lift trucks.
Used Jungheinrich trucks – marketed under the ‘Ready To Go’ brand – are refurbished to the highest standards at the Jungheinrich Group’s Dresden factory where every machine is completely dismantled and all worn or defective parts are replaced – including tyres and lift chains. The trucks are cleaned inside and out and repainted before being reassembled and safety tested.
