Apr 15, 2017 Warehousing Ireland Events, News Comments Off on Hoppecke backs next generation of logistics specialists
As a strong supporter of young people coming into the materials handling industry, Hoppecke Industrial Batteries – the leading specialist in industrial battery systems used throughout the sector – is sponsoring the Young Employee of the Year award at the forthcoming UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association) annual lunch and awards ceremony.
To be held at the Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane, London, on 5 July 2017, the UKWA awards for industry excellence recognise extraordinary achievements from individuals and companies operating in the logistics industry.
Open to any staff outside management and under 25 years old, the Young Employee of the Year award is given to those who show sound professional competency, strong commitment to the team and promising potential for the future. The winner will be an excellent role model who has produced encouraging results that indicate a seriously bright future.
Presenting the award on the night will be Jason Howlett, Hoppecke’s Regional Managing Director – Northern Europe, who says: “We have always been powerful advocates for young people coming into the materials handling and logistics sector and we have helped many to take their first step in this industry. That’s why it’s fitting that Hoppecke sponsors this award which recognises excellence in the under-25s and promotes those with the potential to have an extremely successful future. I’m really looking forward to meeting this year’s winner.”
