Jan 24, 2015 Warehousing Ireland News, News Comments Off on Grayson Thermal Systems Opens New Parts Warehouse
Grayson Thermal Systems, manufacturer of engine cooling, heating and air conditioning systems, based in Birmingham, UK, has opened a new parts warehouse as part of a £1.45 million investment plan.
Having experienced consistent sales growth year on year, the manufacturer has transferred its entire parts inventory to the larger warehouse space, which officially opened on January 14th.
The dedicated space is situated close to the company’s existing factories in Tyseley, Birmingham, and is perfectly centralised to support its UK aftermarket network. The new warehouse will also help Grayson to continue strengthening its global coverage and answer the demand for spare parts throughout Europe.
The warehouse will fall under Grayson’s Parts and Service operations only, with the OE parts stock remaining at the company’s main manufacturing plant. Grayson are forecasting that this venture will bring significant improvements in stock control and processing times within the first 6 months, and subsequently reduced delivery times for all its aftermarket customers.
Richard Harris, Aftermarket Sales Manager, commented, “This new warehouse is part of our long-term vision to offer our customers high quality manufactured products paired with the best in customer support. We realised that to offer the aftermarket the best service possible, we needed to open a standalone store which could deliver the needs of the industry.
“We’ve listened to our customers, and have taken on board their praises and criticisms. The Grayson brand has continued to grow and as a result, our logistical requirements need to adapt to meet these positive changes.”
Grayson Thermal Systems design, manufacture, and supply engine cooling, heating, and air conditioning products to commercial vehicle and specialist vehicle industries worldwide. The company employs over 240 across Europe and North America.
