Step into the future and experience Dematic’s 3D virtual reality game on stand 9A55.
Visitors will be invited to take the Pick-Face Challenge and find out just how fast and accurate they can be on a virtual pick-to-light system. They will also be able to take a 3D tour of the stand and see a virtual world of Dematic systems in action, close-up and personal: ‘live’ demonstrations of its latest automated picking techniques, bringing together Dematic RapidPick, Dematic RapidPut and Dematic Multishuttle technology in a modular system.
“The idea is a bit of fun, but it’s also the way of the future,” says Matt Hatson, Business Solutions Sales Director at Dematic. “This technology will soon be used every day in shaping and forming entire automated systems, so that they can be optimally adjusted and honed exactly, at ease, in a virtual state before becoming a fully-functioning solid reality. The virtual reality tour and the picking game will give visitors a small insight into the huge potential of this technology.”
Also on the Dematic stand will be real hardware. A compact system – built in just three days for the show – will demonstrate to visitors just how scalable, efficient and flexible Dematic technology has become, making warehouse automation accessible to companies at a lower investment level – and offering plenty of scope for future expansion of the system as the business grows.
In addition, there will be a ‘demo’ area for the company’s highly successful pouch sorter technology, used by major retail brands for sequencing goods for store friendly replenishment and maximising efficiency in returns operations. Packing benches too will be on display, along with two large screens at the front of the stand for bringing to life Dematic’s IQ intelligent software with a real, dynamic installation and a ‘try it yourself’ warehouse management system that responds to your orders at the press of a button – just watch the simulation respond to your order.
Hatson says, “Dematic will be showing a glimpse of the ‘virtual’ future, alongside a very real world of proven Dematic hardware. Visitors will be amazed.”
Visit Dematic on stand 9A55, 13th – 16th September 2016, Birmingham NEC.
