Feb 02, 2014 Warehousing Ireland News Comments Off on Flexi Narrow Aisle forklifts to Africa
Flexi Narrow Aisle, the manufacturer of articulated forklift trucks, has recently supplied more of its best-selling Flexi articulated forklift trucks to the World Health Organisation (WHO) for use in various temperature controlled WHO facilities that help provide efficient distribution of vaccines and medicines across sub-Saharan Africa.
The electric-powered Flexi articulated forklifts in operation at the temperature controlled sites were specifically designed and built to suit cold and chilled store environments. All the main components of the trucks are stainless steel or zinc coated while all other electrical hydraulic parts are cold store specified.
“The WHO stores require trucks that offer high levels of reliability and efficiency for their important work and Flexis ticked all their boxes,” says John Maguire, sales and marketing director of Flexi Narrow Aisle.
Flexis are now sold in over 50 countries worldwide through a global distribution network which provides comprehensive after-sales service and maintenance back-up even in countries that, until only a few years ago, were considered perhaps impossible to operate in.
The WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It provides support to countries throughout the world.
