Market leader in voice applications
Dematic Ltd, Banbury, was named “Best New Partner 2010” by Vocollect, the world-leading developer and manufacturer of voice technologies for mobile applications, at this year’s EMEA Reseller Conference in Marbella, Spain. The specialist in intralogistics solutions was awarded the prize for the highest turnover proceeds achieved by a company in its first year as a Vocollect implementation partner. The basis for this award was the large number of logistics projects last year in which Dematic integrated voice applications in order picking in logistics and distribution centres for a variety of sectors. John Harper accepted the award in June at the 2010 Reseller Awards Night in the H10 Andalucía Plaza Hotel, Marbella. “In recognition of the successful development and installation of voice-based order picking processes in combination with the fully integrated automation solutions from Dematic”, commented the Dematic Product Solutions representative regarding the award. “The award once again underlines the application expertise and Europe-wide market-leading position achieved by Dematic in implementing order picking technology.”
Vocollect and its partners support around 300,000 people around the world on a daily basis with voice applications in goods order picking to a value of over two billion euros. Overall, there were ten award categories in Marbella, including business growth over the previous year and new customer acquisitions per year.
