Cooper Handling, the Manchester based distributor for Maximal Lift Trucks has launched a new masted rough terrain forklift.
Specifically designed for construction, farming, forestry, building and plant hire operations, the new rough terrain vehicle operates like a standard forklift with rough terrain performance and is based on the streamlined design of the Maximal A Series forklifts.
Available in two model sizes, the range extends from 2.5 tonne capacity through to 5 tonnes and is available in 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive configurations. The 2.5 to 3.5 tonne machines are powered by Yanmar water-cooled diesel engines and the 4 to 5 tonne machines by Perkins 864 Euro 4 engine, from April 2015.
The 4-wheel drive variant will also be available from April 2015 and will benefit from the same power units as the 2WD equivalent. Multi wheel drive will be available via Dana front and rear axles and a Sauer Danfoss hydrostatic system.
With a focus on safety, performance, operator comfort, reliability and serviceability, the Maximal RTFL is among the new generation of vehicles. It can perform rough terrain operations such as loading, lifting, moving and handling and with various available attachments it can execute a wide range of gripping, scooping, lifting, pulling, scraping and loading tasks.
It offers the latest in operator convenience and comfort features including a floating R.O.P system, superior full floating operator cabin and the latest ergonomics for operator convenience, Travel and hydraulic controls are positioned forward for most efficient and natural operation.
Announcing the latest addition to their range Tony Rooney, Cooper Handling Director, explained; “We already have a complete fleet of lift trucks, but this addition gives the rough terrain user market a further option with a high specification yet value product, that is fully supported and serviced by us.
The Maximal machines will benefit from the same 3-year warranty as industrial equivalents and be supported from Cooper’s extensive technical support, parts and service facilities in Trafford Park, Manchester.
