This year’s IFOY test pallets are blue. Chep GmbH in Cologne will be providing the containers and pallets for the one-week IFOY test at the trade fair site in Hannover from February 18 to 25, 2016. An agreement to this effect was signed in Munich in January.
“Building Better Supply Chains Together”. This credo drives the company and motivates its employees every day. The objective is to achieve the perfect combination of reliability, safety, sustainability, innovation and efficiency. The IFOY Award is geared towards the same high standard and sets new benchmarks. As a partner of the Intralogistics Oscar, we are therefore looking forward to exciting and innovative solutions at this year’s IFOY”, says Christophe Campe, Managing Director of Chep Deutschland GmbH.
The International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY AWARD) recognises the year’s best materials handling vehicles and intralogistics solutions. The award winners are selected each year by a 25-member jury made up of experts from 16 countries. Contestants are subjected to a tough testing process. In a purpose-designed testing hall set up by the world leading CeMAT trade fair, all nominated forklift trucks, order picking vehicles, high-bay and narrow aisle trucks as well as reach trucks and other special-purpose vehicles are rigorously put through their paces over the course of seven days by testers, scientists and, finally, each and every jury member.
During the test routines, different load carriers are used for the specific vehicle in question. “The availability of the right containers and pallets of the highest quality plays a key role during the tests. And the Chep product range ensures that we are ideally equipped to handle all eventualities”, emphasises Anita Würmser, Executive Jury Chairperson for the IFOY Award.
The Chep company is part of Australian group Brambles Limited and is active at 49 locations worldwide. Chep is the world market leader in the pooling of load carriers with over 450 million load carriers in use in consumer goods, retail, automotive, aerospace, fresh produce, mechanical engineering and chemicals.
