Leading supply chain specialist CHEP, which serves primarily the consumer-packaged goods and retail sector, has secured a contract renewal for pallet pooling solutions with leading logistics expert Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Lutterworth.
Based in Leicestershire and specialising in warehousing solutions, pre-retail, returns management and distribution services for the UK market, as well as contract management logistics, the company is part of the family-owned Rhenus Group, a global logistics specialist. It’s the only UK provider of ‘Green GOH’, a garment on hanger system for the transportation of hanging garments in containers, and is specially geared to the requirements of the growing e-commerce sector.
Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Lutterworth has been a CHEP customer since 2012 when it was known as Core Management Logistics (CML), prior to its acquisition in 2019 and rebrand in 2020. The contract renewal will see CHEP continue to support Rhenus with its growth plan over the next three years.
The successful collaboration with the business is down to a close partnership with CHEP as John Taylor, Transport Manager at Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Lutterworth, explains: “At Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Lutterworth, we’ve partnered with CHEP for nearly a decade now. CHEP always provides a service you can trust, and availability of stock has never been an issue. Prompt delivery being arranged and fulfilled is taken for granted.”
With a wide range of supply chain platforms, CHEP works with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) all the way up to household name businesses and international brands.
Matt Quinn, CHEP Vice-President, Northern Europe, adds: “It’s great to be able to continue our work with Rhenus. Our longstanding working relationship with the business is a real testament to the service CHEP offers, and a great example of how our circular economy approach can deliver the availability and sustainability that our customers rely on.”
