– Pro Future(TM) hooklift optimises energy and operating efficiency
Cargotec introduces the new Hiab Multilift XR18S – Pro Future(TM) hooklift with state-of-the-art features. The new hooklift used on a three-axle truck offers substantial improvements in payload, speed, fuel and emissions.
Efficiency and cost of ownership are key factors for an operator when choosing a demountable system. With the new Hiab Multilift hooklift and its features the operation time can be cut to one-third which means shorter standstills and more trips per day. Being part of a regenerative system that requires no increase in engine RPM these features at the same time keeps fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and noise to a minimum.
The new XR18S – Pro Future(TM) is hundreds of kilograms lighter than comparable products when optimally used on a three-axle truck. “This means increased payload opportunities or less weight, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions on every trip”, says Kalevi Nurmi, Vice President, Hiab Demountables.
The package of features in now launched Hiab Multilift XR18S – Pro Future(TM) includes Fast Lowering, Fast Speed, Fast Tipping, Friction Relief and Automatic Sequence control. “The revolutionary Fast Lowering function allows the hooklift to be lowered down from tipping almost without using the hydraulic pump. This means that less fuel is used and carbon dioxide emissions are correspondingly lower. With this function, lowering can be performed in a third of the normal time, with full control throughout the operation. Fast Lowering is also part of a regenerative system that requires no increase in engine RPM by the driver, thus saving fuel, lowering emissions and noise.” Kalevi Nurmi concludes.
