The very latest innovations in warehouse equipment will be on display at the NEC as part of Briggs Equipment’s showing at IMHX 2013.
Visitors to the Briggs/Yale stand in Hall 20 will be able to take a closer look at its state-of-the-art equipment, ranging in size from small pallet trucks and tow tractors to reach trucks and VNA machines.
Of course, no Briggs display would be complete without its people and service focus. There will also be plenty of interactive and audio-visual displays that point to the future of the materials handling industry, including a robotic guide.
Bill Goodwin, Briggs’s sales director, explained: “As well as showcasing the latest Yale equipment, the stand will also reflect Briggs’s vision for the future, which includes providing comprehensive, customer-led solutions.
“We will also be launching the latest, updated version of our exclusive, intelligent vehicle management system, Speedshield. The advantage for the customer is a significant fuel cost saving, using idle-timeout shutdown, while ensuring a HSE paper trail of pre-shift checks and the ability to reduce the risk of accidental damage to trucks and stock.”
Constructed on two levels, the stand also has an extensive hospitality suite where visitors can meet leading figures from the company in an informal setting.
Across four stands, Briggs will be one of the most prominent exhibitors at IMHX with over 1,000 sq m of exhibition space.
Over in Hall 17, in the Skills Zone, the company will be setting up a miniature race-track where visitors can take part in a scaled down forklift challenge. All lap times will be electronically recorded and highlighted on a big screen before the overall winner is presented with a trophy.
“We really want visitors to leave IMHX with more than just information about our products and services,” Bill continued. “More importantly, we hope they are inspired by what they see at the show and how Briggs can offer a unique solution in the marketplace.”
In the run up to IMHX, Briggs is holding a “Name the Robot’ competition, which can be entered by visiting the Briggs Facebook page at www.facebook.com/BriggsEquipmentUK.
