Jan 26, 2014 Warehousing Ireland News Comments Off on BITO racks up another successful year
BITO UK figures for 2013 are in and the news is good for the Nuneaton-based provider of storage solutions. Order intake was up to £9 million; operating profit increased by over 20 per cent compared to 2012 and the quantity of orders increased by almost a third (32%) within the same 12 month period.
“These are very pleasing results in a very competitive market, in 2014 we expect the good growth in sales and profitability to continue, hence we will again increase our marketing activities, invest in three additional staff to ensure that client service levels are maintained and focus business development on key market sectors,” said Edward Hutchison, MD of BITO UK. The company, now a multichannel provider of a full range of storage solutions, has seen development of each of its three sales channels over 2013.
Direct Sales – which incorporates BITO’s renowned catalogue, web site and key resellers – has benefited from continued development of the company’s Fast Track programme with its extended UK stock and improved customer service levels. The Fast Track product catalogue and webshop now offers a “Try Before you buy” option, price matching, a 5-year guarantee and 3-day delivery.
The Solutions channel was bolstered by BITO’s ‘Concept to Solutions’ service provided by the company’s experienced regional project sales staff, who take responsibility for system design, estimating and client communication to point of order for key regional and end user accounts.
Also contributing to the successful year, BITO’s Engineering channel comprises national key accounts and system integrators who provide experienced system design, estimating and client communication to point of order for major national accounts.
Hutchison added: “An important factor in our successful year is that each of these three sales channels is supported by BITO’s After Sales team in terms of quality checks, detail system design, project management, client communications, materials orders and the organisation of installation teams. In any competitive market, ensuring quality, site safety and customer satisfaction is a crucial ingredient to successful growth.”
