BIBBY DISTRIBUTION TAKES CORBY FACILITY TO THE MAX WITH SECOND WAREHOUSE

Bibby Distribution’s site at Max Park, Corby, has become the 3PL’s largest distribution campus after the acquisition of a neighbouring 212,500 sq. ft. warehouse that doubles its capacity.

The new ambient warehouse, which has prime links to the M1 and M6, will support a variety of key food manufacturing and retail customers, including Morrisons, HiPP and Mizkan.

The addition means Bibby Distribution’s warehouse space now totals more than 2.2 million sq. ft. The expanded ‘Corby Campus’ alone covers 424,000 sq. ft., provides space for 60,000 pallets and will create more than 50 new jobs.

Nigel Tullett, Corporate and Strategy Development Director, Bibby Distribution, says: “Max Park has been the lynchpin of our operations in the East Midlands as we support ever growing customer demand. The new warehouse facility means we now have significantly more capacity in our operational centre-of-gravity, and by sharing management resources across the Corby Campus, we are ensuring the expansion is highly cost-effective.”

Tullett adds: “By doubling our Corby warehousing provision, we are poised to grow strategically, providing customers with both operational flexibility and scalability.”

Bibby Distribution’s Max Park site was already a flagship location, with the original 212,000 sq. ft. site opened by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal in 2014. The facility provides a central hub for Bibby Distribution’s operations in the East Midlands.
