Mar 29, 2015 Warehousing Ireland News, News Comments Off on Aztek Logistics gains greater control with Access warehousing solution
Aztek Logstics, a leading 3PL supplier, required a warehouse management solution (WMS) to maximise stock control, improve customer service, and deliver the high standard of service the organisation requires to consistently win new business. As a result the business invested in Access Delta to turn these goals into a reality.
Stuart Charter, MD for Aztek Logistics, said, “We needed to have greater control over our stock, to do this we required an integrated warehouse management solution that will benefit not only our business but our customers.” Aztek Logistics require total traceability on all stock, as part of a BRC Global Standards requirement and as customers increasingly want more visibility of stock, a capable WMS solution was needed to accurately report in real-time on stock movement.
Aztek Logistics implemented Access Delta to ensure that complete management and reporting of stock was achievable. The integration capabilities also streamline the entire handling process with the introduction of barcode scanning which integrate into the Access WMS.
Stuart elaborates, “Access’ ease of use, warehouse map and client portal will contribute to better business processes and customer service. We’re looking to reduce phone enquiries through use of the client portal, whilst being fully informed of the status of their stock. Furthermore Access will act as a sales tool for recruiting new business, particularly food related clients where recall systems must be watertight.”
“The WMS a business uses can strongly influence the relationship we have with our clients. A strong and dependable system which also allows for individual clients to access and retrieve as much data on their products as they need is vital for a 3PL supplier such as Aztek Logistics – to the outside world, this is effectively their system,” concludes Stuart.
