The infographic summarises the number of people killed to date in work related vehicle incidents reported formally to the Health & Safety Authority.
50% of all reported deaths involve a vehicle. this is just under 10% up on annualised average vehicle deaths for past 5 years. A worrying development at the half way point of the year, according to the HSA.
7 more people have been reported killed in work related vehicle incidents since the 30th April 2017. Almost a doubling of numbers killed in just two months.
· 6 more vehicle related deaths in Agriculture. Bringing the total killed to 11.
· 1 more in Transport. Bringing the total killed to 4. This represents an increase of 1on the total year figures for 2016 in Transport and Storage.
