Leading industrial chain supplier, FB Chain Ltd, has appointed John Wilson as its Conveyor Chain Product Manager for Ireland.
John, who will divide his time between the UK mainland and Ireland, will be responsible for developing sales of FB Chain’s range of conveyor and transmission products that are used to drive conveyor systems operating across a wide variety of industries.
Within the Irish market, the company’s conveyor chain is proving particularly popular within the wood, paper and pulp processing, biomass and recycling sectors.
“Because chain conveyors in these industries are subject to more shock and irregular loads than in any other bulk material handling industry, we are providing much larger quantities of welded pin and bush conveyor chains,” says John Wilson.
He continues: “I believe that sales of conveyor chains, sprockets and attachments specially adapted to the specific requirements of biomass, recycling and wood, paper and pulp processing industries in Ireland will represent a growing part of FB Chain’s conveyor chain business in the years ahead.”
“I hope to visit as many of FB Chain’s Ireland-based clients – and prospective clients – as I can in the months ahead and work with them to ensure optimum performance of their chain conveyor systems.”
John has an HNC General Engineering qualification and has been working with mechanical products – in particular gear boxes and motors – for several years. He lists building mechanical scarecrows among his interests!
