Dematic, the automated intralogistics solutions company, has appointed Mark Hacker as Engineering Director for Northern Europe.
“At Dematic, engineering is a global function that provides a service locally. I am delighted to have this opportunity to work with such a highly talented international team of engineers, developing innovative and intelligent warehouse automation solutions for many of the worlds leading companies. Creativity is an essential part of engineering, and I’m looking forward to meeting the challenges ahead by tapping into the extensive imaginative resources of Dematic’s engineering team,” says Mark Hacker.
Mark’s career path spans 17 years in the aerospace sector, working at Rolls Royce Defence Aerospace on the vertical take-off Joint Strike Fighter – as well as within the company’s computer simulation department – followed by seven years at Contour, an aircraft interiors company, and immediately prior to joining Dematic, taking on a role at B/E Aerospace where his extensive engineering expertise was engaged in the complex task of integrating all the cabin facilities and services for civil aircraft.
Stuart Stables, Managing Director, Dematic Northern Europe, says, “Engineering is a core competence at Dematic, it is fundamental to our success as a world-leading automation company. I am delighted that Mark has joined our leadership team, bringing with him a wealth of engineering experience from a sector at the cutting-edge of technology.”
