All forklift companies claim that their products offer the ultimate in reliability but there can be few trucks in existence capable of matching the long service record of a Jungheinrich reach truck in operation at conveyor manufacturer Geo Robson’s Sheffield plant.
The electric-powered Jungheinrich ETVQ20 multi directional reach truck has been an integral part of Robson’s intralogistics operation since 1977.
For over 35 years the truck has been used to unload incoming deliveries of the heavy steel component parts used in the production of the robust and reliable bulk material handling conveyor systems for which Geo Robson is renowned.
In addition, the truck is responsible for shuttling finished goods around the site from the factory to the store for onward delivery to clients.
“The truck is in operation every day of the week and has always been highly reliable,” says Geo Robson’s works manager, Stuart Cain.
He adds: “At Geo Robson we take pride in the reliability and quality engineering of our products and we look for suppliers with the same ethos. If the time ever comes to replace our ‘old faithful’ truck I am sure Jungheinrich will be the first company we turn to.”
