Jan 11, 2015 Warehousing Ireland Materials Handling, News Comments Off on Exciting new opportunities for Detank
Announcing the appointment of Simon Watkins as Detank UK’s sales manager, the man behind its operations has hinted at big changes ahead for the fastest growing industrial truck brand in China.
Highly motivated and skilled at bringing new products to market, Simon’s new role will see him head up the manufacturer’s sales throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Launched in the summer, Detank’s wide product range includes: 1.0 to 10 tonne diesel trucks, 1.5 to 3.5 tonne LPG trucks, and 1.3 to 2.0 tonne electric trucks.
Detank UK managing director Lash Saranna said: “Detank has, in less than five years, proven itself within the highly competitive Chinese marketplace. Achieving this in Europe – against well-established international brands – requires trucks and backup that are up to the job.
“We have the trucks. And now we have the man to head up that team. Simon is particularly well-equipped. Since 2010, he has led growth and innovation for one of the UK’s top dealerships.
“This move opens the door for lots of exciting new opportunities… which you’ll hear more about throughout 2015.”
