Leading specialist handling company, Cooper has seen a huge amount of interest in its range of general and specialist handling equipment since the company showcased its new corporate identity at IMHX 2013.
The show proved a massive success for Cooper, with thousands of people flocking to its stand to view the diverse range of equipment on show and to take part in a unique racing challenge.
Taking time out from the exhibition, visitors could find out what it’s like behind the wheel of a Formula 1 racing car in a simulated race environment built onto the stand.
Tony Rooney, a Cooper Director, commented: “The racing was great fun but the real winner was the launch of our new identity and company structure that includes a general handling division alongside our established specialised handling offerings.”
Tony went on to explain the general handling division was formed following the recent acquisition of Samuk Lift Trucks.
“Samuk is to be marketed through a national dealer network and many visitors to the Cooper stand expressed an interest in joining us in this exciting opportunity,” Tony continued. “The plan is to further develop the network over the next three months.”
As well as displaying the Samuk trucks, the Cooper stand also featured specialist equipment as the company continues to supply heavy lift trucks and container handlers from Konecranes. A range of specialist cranes from Mantsinen were also featured as part of a video display on the stand.
Tony added: “We were really pleased to see a high level of cross-fertilisation going on across our entire range of products. IMHX was the first time that the world had seen our extensive new portfolio and we were delighted that they were impressed.”
